This qualification is for people who work with or look after children, enabling them to have a basic knowledge of how to deal with paediatric first aid situations.
The aim of the qualification is to enable Learners to attain the knowledge and practical competencies needed to deal with a range of emergency situations in a school environment.
Learners should be able to demonstrate the practical administration of safe, prompt, effective first aid in situations that can arise when looking after children.
This qualification is for people who have a specific responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities, to provide first aid to children (including babies) when dealing with an emergency situation.
Note: This qualification does not fulfil Ofsted’s first aid requirements for early years teachers, nursery workers and child minders (as defined within the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage 2014 and within The Child Care Register guide).

This qualification comprises 1 mandatory unit with 3 guided learning hours.

This can be delivered to larger groups from as little as £15.00 per person.
