A patient could collapse on any premises at any time, whether they have received treatment or not. It is therefore essential that ALL registrants are trained in dealing with medical emergencies, including resuscitation, and possess up to date evidence of capability.
This qualification, and the learning outcomes covered thereby, is based on the recommendations of the Resuscitation Council (UK) and the Skills for Health Assessment Principles for First Aid Qualifications.
The qualification is designed for dental professionals who have a specific responsibility at work to provide First Aid when dealing with an emergency situation
Structure of the qualification
This qualification is comprised of one mandatory unit with a total value of 1 credit with 8 guided learning hours*
*Minimum contact teaching hours apply to this qualification – to comply with Skills for Health and GDC guidance the Medical Emergencies Responder Training qualification should be delivered in no less than 6 hours (1 day) excluding breaks

The Medical Emergencies Responder Training is delivered in-house for clients across the UK and globally at a time to suit you. The cost of this, inclusive of learner resources, handouts, CPR & AED Made Easy books and certificates*, is from just £780.00 for up to 12 people.
A certificate valid for 12 months is issued by Simply First Aid*.
